PLOW AT YOUR OWN RISK
1.The sods in the scratch at the front and the back of the land should be thrown out. All plow bottoms should be in the ground at the beginning scratch, and stay in the ground to the end scratch.
2.A maximum of three stakes may be used for staking your crown and for a strike-out if needed. Your crown must be at the centre of your plot in line with the number stake.
3.When making an "opening split", the judge must be notified and score your split, before you can continue.
4.In the tractor classes, the crown shall consist of four full rounds with 2-furrow plows, and three full rounds with 3 or more furrow plows.
5.Contestants must cast off towards the lower numbered plot. Note: Plowers starting on a new
row of plots must make their own strike-out toward the beginning of the row.
6.All the land at the cast off will be included in the scoring of "overall appearance", however the last three rounds around the dead furrow will be judged in the score for your "finish".
7.In completing your finish, the last furrows must be plowed towards your own plot.
8.Note: All land of your plot must be turned over. However, only one dead furrow should be shown at the finish. When making the last (dead) furrow, your last plow-bottom should scratch the furrow left by your second last run. This second last furrow should therefore be made about half the regular depth. To improve appearance, keep your last (dead) furrow as shallow as possible.
9.Contestants are not allowed to leave any wheel marks on their neighbour's plot. Only one wheel mark is allowed on your own plot at your finishing run.
10. The judge will deduct points for any infractions. See "Rules and Regulations".
